I received my new Nitro G20 last week and have been trying it out with just to see how versitile it could be. I had a silver bracelet to do for my knifemaker friend's 25th Anniversary, so that presented a great opportunity to try it out on something delicate, feminine, and that required fancy script lettering - quite a challenge!
I experimented for a while on some practice plate, got bored with that, and jumped on the bracelet job within the first half hour. Needless to say, my confidence with this mega-tool grew very quickly.
The tool is graced with all the power you'll ever need, still, it has all the versitile characteristics we've become familiar with in Lindsay engineering. It hogged out the flat graver bright cuts on the Western Scroll effortlessly. Then I slipped in a Caligraphy graver and went to work on the letters.
The tool is a bit intimidating at first, when you first get on the foot pedal it powers up like nothing you've ever felt before. But you soon appreciate that it can cut delicate letters and fancy cuts as well. The proof is in the photo - no problem with control at all! I can't see why anyone who does Western Bright cut would'nt want one of the Nitro G20's - the same goes for you motorcycle engravers. And for everyone else, it has power to spare, yet it can be tamed down to do the light stuff as well...great versatility!
